The lip sets the width at the front, the skirts carry that line along the sills and the spoiler lifts the edge of the bootlid, so the car reads differently from the side and from behind as well as head on.
Professional installation recommended. The lip and the skirts both run long straight lines along the car, where a drop at one end shows from a distance.
